The boys SPSA Elite Academy U18 team has continued to prove they are a force to be reckoned with in the Hoke HS Boys League this season, with 3 wins out of 3 over their past 3 weeks of league play.  

After a 5-2 win over Richmond last week, the boys folowed up that performance with a 4-0 rout of the Purnell Swett boys team this weekend.

The boys were only ahead by a score of 1-0 in the first half with Erik Perez slotting in Anthony Espinosa for the first goal of the game.

The 2nd half saw the boys take a more attacking style of play and a goalkeeping change to add Steven Brown into the defense to sure up things at the back.  With that move, the boys were able to cruise to a 4-0 victory with another assist from Erik Perez to Espinosa, and 2 more goals provided by Saul Lopez with both being assisted by Joseph Velasquez.

Currently, Espinosa is the leading goal scorer on the team with 8 goals in all competitions, with Lopez following up behind with 4 goals, and Joseph Velasquez with 1 goal.  Erik Perez and Joseph Velasquez are the leading playmakers on the team with a majority of the assists.

The boys will take on the Bladen FC on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Pauls High School, and April 11th weekend they will travel to Don Steed Elementary to face Hoke B before playing Red Springs on April 18th.  For all the latest information on games, practices, and more for the boys travel team please see our Official Twitter or Official Facebook pages.
